Kinesio Taping

Kinesio taping is a therapeutic bandaging technique that uses elastic adhesive tapes applied to the skin to improve muscle function, reduce pain and promote the healing process. Devised by Dr Kenzo Kase in the 1970s, this methodology is based on kinesiotaping principles that allow the tape to support and stabilise muscles and joints without restricting movement. Kinesio taping is widely used to treat injuries, oedemas, musculoskeletal disorders and to improve lymphatic and blood circulation. Its application, customised to the patient's needs, offers benefits both in the acute phase and in long-term functional recovery.
